Recently Nepal Telecom launched 4G (Fourth Generation) network service in Nepal. Though it has launched only for Postpaid user now, many people are wondering if their cell phone Support 4G or not.
There are very simple ways of checking 4G compatibility of your device. To know either your cell phone support 4G or not please follow below mentioned process.
A. Android Users
- Go To Setting Tab.
- Click on Mobile Network (Some user can find it in More option)
- Click on Network or Preferred Network Type
Here you will see your 4G, 3G,& 2G as your network type. If your phone is supported 4G then you will see 4G/LTE option. If you do not see 4G/LTE option in Mobile Network type then it means your mobile do not support 4G.
B. iOS Users
- Go to Settings Tab
- Expand General Tab
- Click on Cellular
Here you will see network option, if you see 4G or LTE as option then it means your cell phone support 4G/LTE.
But even if your mobile phone support 4G/LTE network it might not work with Nepal Telecom, because Nepal Telecom has released 4G service only on 1800 Frequency Band. So if you are struggling to find if your cell phone support 4G or not then you need to check the specification of your 4G network. If you see 1800 in the list then your mobile phone is compatible with recent 4G Launch from Nepal Telecom.
The Very common example is iPhone 6 Series. Though iPhone 5s support 1800 band, iPhone 6 and 6s do not.
Nepal Telecom official says that it will be soon be launched everywhere in Nepal and on all supported device. So you do not need to panic about this things.
